Resilient Kids Summer Camp is designed for children ages 4 through 16, with weeklong classes offering age-appropriate activities.
Resilient Kids Camp ignites your child’s enthusiasm for learning through fun outdoor activities. With expertise from Akesia Whole Child, we offer a “comprehensive developmental approach to teaching the whole child, integrating aspects of emotional, social, physical, creative and cognitive growth.”
We help develop resilient kids through programs that emphasize compassion, empathy, kindness and putting your best foot forward. Using the horses from Swingin’ D Horse Rescue, we’ll develop skills for handling bullying, and emphasize the importance of empathy and compassion. Campers will also learn essential life skills, plus tips and tricks to help with homework and classroom learning.
This program is under development. At the heart of our Resilient Kids Summer Camp is a love of animals, and an appreciation for the tremendous responsibility of owning them.
Resilient Kids Summer Camp will serve children aged 4 through 16 years of age.
Camp begins with 4-6-year-olds on May 30 through June 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Our 7-11-year-old campers check in on June 6 and finish June 9. On June 13, Resilient Kids Camp welcomes our 12-16-year-old campers through June 16. On June 20, we’ll begin the age rotation again with 4-6-year-olds.
Camp for your first student starts at $215. We give family discounts for additional children at $200 after the first registration. We can provide your child’s snacks for an additional $25.
Yes, for an additional fee, we will provide after camp care until 5 p.m.
All proceeds from Resilient Kids Summer Camp go to Swingin’ D Horse Rescue, a Coweta 501c3.
The camp is being developed by Tami Marler, MBA, the owner of Swingin’ D Horse Rescue and a former investigative journalist and Miss Oklahoma; with guidance and assistance from Akesia Whole Child. Swingin’ D Horse Rescue volunteers will assist with daily activities.
We plan to provide live feeds of the camp so that parents can log in and look in on your child’s activities.
